Just because. ;-)
No such day without a doily though! This doily pattern is from a Japanese crochet book, published a couple of years ago.
I deviated from the pattern for the last rows and edging...
Oh, before I forget: here is a glimpse of Mollie Makes #41 which has tutorials for three hangers I made. All très pastel chic. ;-) Hope you like them...!

Erg mooi ♥ Groetjes Marijtje
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, you must be so proud.Lovely doily, love the colors. Can you tell me the name of that Japanese crochet book? Thanks in advance.Have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Unfortunately I don't have the title of the book, because it's only written in Japanese (in contrast with a lot others Japanese crochet books, where there is also an English title), but the colophon gives the following clues: Copyright Kazuko Murabayashi 2008. Plus a website: books.bunka.ac.jp. On the cover there is a photo of two delicate white crocheted flowers.
DeleteHope this helps...
I continually go for brights so I really enjoy immersing myself in others pastel posts :-) Thank you!

Your doily work is just absolutely beautiful! Love the color choices.
ReplyDeleteOh so gorgeous. I truly love pastels...oh and doilies too!
ReplyDeleteHave a super day!

The doily is beautiful! I really love the pastel colours, it's so pretty and calm. The hangers look great too! x
ReplyDeleteMooi hoor, die pastels!!! Ik neig er ook steeds meer naar.
ReplyDeleteGroetjes van Ellebel
Your pastel doily is a lovely design. It seems to be based on natural forms. That's great because nature can always lead us to beauty.
ReplyDeleteI will be on the lookout for the Mollie Makes issue with your designs. It always takes a while for the 'current' issue to reach us in New York.

heavenly doily! great hangers.X
ReplyDeleteWat een lieve post, pastels zijn 'lekker' om mee te werken. En wat een mooi doily en hangers hebt je gemaakt!
ReplyDeleteGroetjes.
Niet mijn kleuren, maar toch heel mooi!
ReplyDeleteNo one makes doilies in pastels like you! I can never stop looking at your doilies and a fab outfit in that pic as well!
ReplyDeleteGefeliciteerd, ik zag ze, geweldig! Heel mooie hangers en fantastisch dat ze in MM staan. xx
ReplyDeletecongrats on the mollie makes feature! i'm working on your love me dots hanger cover right now. thank you! your blog is lovely!
ReplyDeletecan you help me please on your 'love me dots' pattern? should i slip a stitch after the final htr on the squares? it looks wonky if i end on an htr. maybe i'm doing something wrong...
ReplyDeleteHi Jen,
DeleteFirst of all I'd like to say I feel honoured you're making the hanger - yay!
Happy to help of course. :-) I'm not sure if I understand the question right: Do you mean how to close the square? If so, you could do that either by slip stitching or by using a needle.
The second round will go as follows (I'm using the English terminology, as does MM, in contrary to what I normally use in my posts):
[2dc, 1htr+ 2ch+1htr in 1 st] close round by either ss or sewing.
Mmm, let me know if this helps (or makes thing worse...)
All best,
haafner
Haafner
I love your blog and your gorgeous colours! Everything is so beautiful! I just posted about about a doily inspired by yours, so I have included links to you :) I hope that's ok!
