Yarn Talk & Other Tittle-Tattle

Oh dear - it has been too long.
Very busy, but - alas - not blog related.

So no progress to show you unfortunately.
However! I did buy new yarns.

ByHaafner, crochet yarn, cotton crochet, Modinetje, white, pastel, organic hemp yarn,

Love the powder pink colour...
The yarn on the left looks more like twine, doesn't it?
It's organic hemp yarn. I used it before, it comes out nice.
I'm planning to make a set of placemats with it.

I like the old fashioned crochet cotton
from the brand Modinetje.
I got the last one (for only one euro).
The brand design is like a flashback to the fifties.
Wonder if it's still being produced?

Mmm, I'm afraid this is going to be a quite messy blog post.
(I apologize.)
I'll show you some old pictures, which I didn't use before here.

This is where I store stuff like leftover yarn.
Old shoeboxes...

ByHaafner, upcycled shoeboxes, storage, pastel, paper, decoration

Craftroom snapshot...
With lots of crocheted doilies, thrifted finds & a garland.

ByHaafner, garland, bunting, crochet, vintage tins, pastel doily, thrifted plate with birds

And why not end this chaos with potholders?

ByHaafner, crochet, potholder, pastel, white, bright, lacy edging, scalloped edging, granny square

What are you up to this weekend?
I personally hope to have some time to crochet.
Have a happy weekend!

  5. Lovely yarn! I'm looking for some really thin cotton yarn to start a few doilies... However it's pretty hard to come by in anything else than white. But I hope one day I'll just find thé most awesome stash of yarn :)

The garland looks really cute! And I also stack my WIP's and leftovers in boxes... However recently I decided to take most of my yarn out of the boxes and just staple them in my open closet. Now I have my own little yarnshop at home :)

    Love, Kirsten

    1. Your own little yarnshop, that sounds fab! :-)
Here (in the Netherlands) it seems less difficult to find other colours of thin cotton. The pink one is called 'Julia', but doesnt't have an web address or anything on it.
