Thrifted vintage and some crochet too

A couple of days ago I popped in our local thrift store
with the intention not to buy anything.
Ha!

The results are these two art deco bowls.
The first one is this 'cabbage leaves' Max Roesler from 1930.
Love the mint green...

ByHaafner, vintage bowl. Max Roesler, cabbage leaves, mint green and white, crochet, potholder, doily

And this Dutch design from Société Céramique, Maestricht.

Same bowl. Different doily.
Couldn't choose. ;-)

In case you're interested, the first bowl costed me 2,50 euro,
the second one a staggering 6 euro. ;-)

Anyway. This weekend I finished my blanket - fringes & all.
Still have to make the pictures though.
I hope you've enjoyed your weekend too!

  1. Hello,

the first one was only 2,50? That is unbelievable. I´m collecting Max Roesler and the cabbage bowl is much more worth than you paid, lucky girl.

    Have a nice week,
    lovely greetings from germany,
    Tanja

  2. I found my way to your beautiful site via the incredibly lovely Madelief's site.

As another crochet fan I am so glad to have been able to visit, and will surely be back again in future.

    Best wishes!

By the way, the potholder in your first mint-green bowl is lovely! Where did you get the pattern from it?

    1. The pattern is from a book, if you like I can mail you a copy if you send me your email address.
Also I saw similar patterns online, I know I did on Ravelry.
